About Us
Friends of Porus Association Inc. (FOP) is a registered nonprofit in the state of New York. For over 20 years, we have supported the community of Porus, Manchester, Jamaica through education, healthcare outreach, senior citizen assistance, and community development.
Supporting Porus from around the world
FOP members are passionate about effectuating change in and around our community. From annual Christmas senior citizen care packages to youth leadership workshops, we believe in a holistic approach to enriching the lives of our hometown.
Through our committees and programs, we invest our time into pouring into the youth, parents, and educators of Porus.

Provide charitable assistance to the senior citizens and other needy citizens of the town of Porus.

Provide assistance for community projects that improve the lives of residents.
Education Support
Provide financial support for schools and educational activities through gifts, scholarships, subsidies, grants, and awards.
Pride & Tradition
Promote loyalty and pride for the town of Porus by organizing social events, reunions, and fundraising events.
